In light of recent labour negotiations at Canada Post, the Canadian Feminist Alliance for International Action has written an open letter to Prime Minister Trudeau.

Of particular concern to FAFIA-AFAI is the pay gap experienced by the Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers, the majority of whom are women. This structural inequality in the workforce is a serious, long-standing problem for women in Canada. The gap between pay for urban postal workers, mainly men, and rural and suburban postal workers, mainly women, is an obvious example of this inequality, and one that can be fixed.
